Information About Campland on the Bay
In addition to a luxurious beach, the marina at Campland on the Bay in San Diego has 124 slips, a boat launch and a store. Available for rent are pedal boats, kayaks, wind surfers, catamarans, pontoon boats, wave runners, aqua cycles, a new ski boat, and new electric bikes. Videos, in-line skates, Quadra cycles and bicycle-chariots (half bike/half skateboard) can also be rented. There are also heated pools and a hot tub. The resort's game room has more than 60 arcade games, plus air-hockey and ping pong. Campland on the Bay also features NEW nighttime lighted horseshoe tournaments and a NEW night lit basketball court. Come join the fun.
Campland's recreation department organizes a variety of activities that keeps visitors busy with a full schedule of games and competitions seven days a week. Parties, dinners, music and entertainers keep evenings hopping too, with lessons in country line dancing and hula. Campland also offers Hawaiian luaus often throughout the year.
Campland's Central Park is where all the fun happens. Concerts and special events are frequent. Riding Hood wood Park is a secluded little park overlooking the bird sanctuary with a beautiful view of the bay. Huff ‘n Puff Park is a child's paradise, full of slides, swings, towers, tunnels and all those other groovy gizmos.
Campland on the Bay has a full service Market with RV supplies, Laundry Facilities, BBQ & Ice Cream Parlor and nearby attractions include Sea World, Pacific Beach and Mission Beach, Mission Bay Golf Course and the San Diego Zoo.
This popular San Diego site overlooks the Kendall Frost Wildlife Preserve, where you can catch views of egrets and great blue herons. This preserve is also home to the endangered clapper rail and least tern.
Because the fall and winter months in San Diego can be some of the most beautiful camping weather available anywhere in the world, events continue all year. In mid-September the hydroplane boat races come to Mission Bay, and the view from Campland is spectacular and exciting.
